Dresses, Slides, Sleds,and Dances

Little girlies modeling their Easter dresses.
We just got a new mattress after fighting our old one for long enough. So on a snowy Friday we made a cardboard slide down our staircase.  It was super fast, and pretty hard to get back up after you rode down.  The kiddos all enjoyed it even tho they got a few cardboard burns.

Baby Selah, Zander and Aunt Kay spent the weekend with us and we had so much fun. This was Selah sleeping thru all the noise of us sliding down the stairs.
On Saturday we went sledding for a little while. Gideon and his cousin tried snow boarding down the hill on a sled. He decided that wasn't such a grand idea the next morning when his neck was really sore.
Adalli enjoyed watching everyone but wasn't real fond of going down the hill.
Rachel talked BJ into going down with her and hitting the jump. They made it without any injuries.
This is what Natalie thought of sledding. Not a fan!
Rachel went to the PC Drill team day camp and did a great job at performing that night.

They had a great turn out in little girls this year. It was fun to watch and Adalli is ready to go next year!

Snow Days

A good friend of ours came and helped us get our backsplash installed. It is so nice to not have to worry about water splashing onto the wall behind the sink! It is amazing to me how "finished" it looks now!

The Girls all bundled up for a little outside, snow fun.

It was a very chilly and windy day today, They sure had lots of fun tho. Rachel did great with Natalie and carried her around even if she had to have gained at least 5 pounds of clothing with all her snow stuff on!

Natalie could only crawl around because she couldn't get her little legs to hold up all the extra weight.
Adalli and Gideon hard at work on their fort.
Adalli is in this stage of deciding wether or not she needs a nap in the afternoon. On this particular day she couldn't stay up any longer so she crawled up on the couch and fell asleep. Usually when she takes an afternoon nap she doesn't fall asleep until 10:00pm that evening. I usually wake her after an hour and she does better at night and is definitely happier in the evening.
Special Valentines! We had candle lit Pizza dinner on Thursday. It was wonderful, the kiddos made nice Valentines for me and they had candles all set up too. It was very special!
For God so LOVED the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the  world through Him. John 3:16-17
What an amazing promise and gift that God has given us for Valentines day and EVERY day.  Thank you Lord!!

COLORADO!!

BJ spent the week of his birthday snowmobiling in Colorado. Then 3 of us wives headed out the next weekend to meet them in Denver for the Stock Show, some much needed rest, and some wonderful fellowship with amazing friends. Us girls made it to Denver in 10 hours with only two stops. We did awesome I think. :) Here are a few pictures of the Saturday night Rodeo at Stock show.

The awesome group of friends we got to enjoy all weekend!

This is a family of Bucking horses. A grandma, mom, daughter and great granddaughter. The grandma, mom and daughter are all exceptional bucking horses! The announcer talked about how God created these horses to be bucking horses and he said an awesome thing at the very end that I think is important to remember in our daily lives.  "What we are is God's gift to us, what we chose to become is our gift to God.  I love rodeos!!
On the way home in the fog and the rain (thank goodness we missed most of the ice) the boys ran over a ladder that was all mangled in the middle of the road. It looked like caution tape it was so bent out of shape. Anyway, they got a flat tire after they hit it. It took them a little under ten minutes to change the tire! I was super impressed with their amazing skill and speed. Way to go boys!
 The best pit crew ever!

This is what the ladder looked like. Crazy!
Other than that little hiccup we made it home safely to our wonderful kiddos. Thank you all so much for the wonderful time! Lets make it a yearly thing! Also thank you so much to the sitters that protected and provided for our kiddos while we were gone. You are all such an amazing blessing to us!

January Fun

Natalie loves buckets that she can sit in. She daily unloads this one to use.
This is her "cheese" face that she gives me every time I pull out my camera.
 Adalli looking so sweet!
On most weeknights you can find Gideon at the counter working on some kind of homework.
The girls trying to be quiet and sweet so big brother can do his homework.
Aunt Becky does a great job at taking pictures! She took some of Adalli for her 3 yr. old pics. Addi did really good even tho the movie was pretty distracting some times. Thank you for your time Becky!
Natalie is always insisting she feed herself her yogurt so on this particular day I let her.
Wow, I think I will continue to feed her from now on.
Who needs a spoon when you have fingers? What a mess!

I do have hope! Adalli can do it all by herself without getting it all over to bad.
This was another mess Natalie made this same day. Raisins all over the kitchen floor. Oh my she is so busy!
Adalli cuddling with my American Girl doll from when I was little. I let Rachel play with her a long time ago and she ended up disconnecting her leg. I put her away not quite knowing what to do and how to fix it. Then one day Rachel had a friend come over and she said that American Girl has a doll hospital and they can fix her up. I went online and got a form and an address and shipped this doll out Monday after 2:00pm. I got her back Friday morning around 8:30am all fixed and even with a hospital gown and bracelet. I am very impressed! I paid a small amount for their time and the shipping, but to have a fixed doll it was worth it!
