Spring Projects

This is how you keep the seat sensor from turning the tractor off. Probably not what they had in mind when they built it. You got to do what you got to do. :)
BJ was wonderful last weekend and tilled the whole bumpy, weedy and clay filled "yard" up and planted new grass seed. We are hoping and praying we will have a nice new yard when it grows!

Natalie loved riding on the tractor!
This was a muddy day the end of March. We went to feed the baby calf and decided to play in the puddles.
Natalie really didn't like the mud all over her hands.

Cadet Car Races and Bucket Bottle Calves

Gideon had just two boys in his class that raced. His friend and opponent made a hay wagon and Gideon made the orange one with lots of help from Grandpa!
 Saying the pledges
 Lining the cars up.
Gideon's car was slow on the hill and then passed on the straight away. They raced 3 times just to make sure. Gideon won twice and his friend won once.
He was pretty proud. Thank you Grandpa for all your hard work and effort. We could not have done it without you!
After car races we went home to feed our new calf. She is super super cute with her bald face. She also has a wonderful personality!

We kept her in the garage until it started smelling like a barn. She is now out with another little bucket bottle that we received a couple days ago. They are becoming fast friends. The kiddos really enjoy having the responsibility, even if it means they have to wake up a little earlier than normal for chores. They are doing very well.
